Yep, that's the email reply I got for giving someone a hard time about skipping the weekly run. 7:30 is too late! So I proceeded to give him my schedule. I hope you enjoy:
4:00am - Wake Up
4:00 - 5:00 - Dave time Read Good Stuff, Currently that's a daily reading from One on One with Coach Wooden and then I read a chapter from The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris.
5:00 - 5:30 - Clear work email and push work thoughts out through email. That's right, my work inbox is empty. In fact I empty it at 5:00am, 10:00am and 4:00pm. Other than that I don't look at it.
5:30 - 6:00 - eat and stretch, hug my wife
6:00 - 6:30 - Get Marco up and going. Make is breakfast or talk to him while he makes it.
6:30 - 6:40 - Take Scout for a run.
6:40 - 7:00 - Play the Guitar and help Marco when he needs it.
7:00 - 7: 20 - Get ready to run.
7:30 - Run
Work gets done, family gets done, dog gets done and then Dave gets done. It's not time management it's kicking off the day. If this goes flawless the day goes flawless. It's that simple.
So don't tell me 7:30am is too late. I think it's a good break in the day.
It's a good life...
Dave
